Director of Implementations

We’re seeking a Director of Implementations to lead and manage the successful onboarding and launch of new clients, as well as drive the implementation of strategic initiatives for existing clients. This individual will serve as the internal hub of project management and implementation efforts—ensuring all moving pieces come together to deliver flawless execution from sign to launch. In this critical role, you’ll work cross-functionally with account management, creative, development, and leadership teams to ensure each client engagement starts strong and sustains success over time.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Oversee and lead the full implementation lifecycle for all new clients—from contract signature through successful launch.
Create and manage detailed project plans and timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to the highest standard.
Serve as the primary point of contact during the onboarding and implementation phase, ensuring a seamless handoff from sales to account management.
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients early in the engagement, clearly communicating timelines, expectations, and milestones to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Act as a strategic consultant throughout the implementation process—educating clients on best practices and helping them understand the “why” behind project decisions.
Develop scalable implementation processes and templates to improve efficiency and ensure consistent client experiences.
Collaborate closely with Account Managers to maintain a deep understanding of client goals and ensure all launches align with long-term strategic objectives.
Identify opportunities to optimize internal workflows and remove bottlenecks across cross-functional teams.
Launch and manage new projects for existing clients, including add-on services, platform upgrades, or strategic pivots.
Proactively communicate progress, risks, and solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.
Partner with leadership to forecast resource needs, define success metrics, and continually refine implementation strategy.
Mentor and lead a growing team of project and implementation specialists, setting performance expectations and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in project management, client implementation, or operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and best practices (e.g., Gantt charts, sprints, retrospectives).
Exceptional client-facing communication skills, with the ability to guide clients through complex projects, align stakeholders, and build confidence and enthusiasm for new initiatives.
Ability to “sell through” project plans and strategies—making a compelling case for best practices, technical decisions, and process improvements to ensure client engagement and cooperation.
Proven ability to drive process improvement and create scalable systems that support team and company growth.
Experience leading both internal and client-facing meetings and presentations.
High attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a client-centric and collaborative approach.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving client and business needs.
Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana, Trello, Basecamp, Slack).
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, marketing, or a related field preferred.
